The chorus goes something like this- though shadows may fall my cross gets heavy and sometimes it seems that I'll never see another day dawning Then I remember His words though the night find me weeping He promised me surely there'll be joy in the morning. I would really like to have the music and verses to this song- it may be a Gaither though - I don't know! God Bless!! Dreama |

The Gaither version is Joy Comes In The Morning.
and the Chorus is Hold on my child, joy comes in the morning, weeping only last for a night. Hold on my child, joy comes in the morning The darkest hour means dawn is just in sight. |

Hi! Thanks Carolla but the song is called Joy in the morning. They used to sing it at a Mission church in Ohio when I was just a little girl! Back in the 70's Does anyone know where I could find this song or even who wrote it? Thanks so much! God bless! Dreama |

Joy In The Morning
1. Tears often fall, down my face in sorrow, As I walk on, thru the long, lonely night, And often I cry, yet it seems no one hears me, And then thru the shadows I can see, the dawning of light. Cho. Tho shadows may fall, and my cross gets heavy, And sometimes it seems, I'll never see another day dawning, Then I remember His Word, tho the night finds me weeping, He promised me, and surely there'll be, joy in the morning. 2. Now, soon this life, and all of its trials, Will be left behind, there's another day dawning, And shadows of sin, will vanish forever, And forever I'll find, where the sun always shines, joy in the morning. |

You wouln't happen to be Dreama Klaiber, who has a towbaot named after her would you? Anyway, I think the song you want is an anthemn by Natalie Sleeth -- "There'll be joy in the morning on that day...and the daylighht will dawn when the darkness is gone, there'll be joy in the morning on that day!" |

Hi! Thanks,
I really wanted to sing this song and no one remembered it. I am in Jamaica and it was popular in the 70s when I became a Christian. Alvin |

Hi! Don't know if you ever found the right song you were looking for but the Paul Williams Trio sings a song called "Joy in the Morning." I don't remember the whole chorus, but i do know the last line says "He promised me, surely there'll be, joy in the morning." |

This is the one that the Gaither's do.
Joy Comes In The Morning Verse:1 If you've knelt beside the rubble, of an aching broken heart, when the things you gave your life to fell apart, you're not the first to be acquainted, with sorrow grief or pain, but the master promised sunshine after rain. Chorus: Hold on my child, joy comes in the morning, weeping only last for the night, hold on my child, joy comes in the morning, the darkest hour means dawn is just in sight. Verse: 2 To invest your seed of trust in God, in mountains you can't move, you have risked your life on things you can not prove, but to give the things you can not keep, for what you can not lose, is the way to find the joy God has for you. |

Don't know who wrote this one, but need to find out. Used to sing it years ago with a friend of mine.
"Behind every dark cloud, there's a silver lining After each rain storm there's a brand new dawn When troubles grieve you and friends deceive you Oh don't worry it will all pass over by and by. When trouble pulls your heartstrings don't be discouraged And even though pain and misery fill your eyes with tears These trials will soon pass soon they'll depart Oh hallelujah it will all be over in the morning And remember weeping may endure for a night But joy, joy, joy, joy, Joy, joy, joy will come, In the morning, joy in the morning." My Aunt Imogene used to sing this song in church all the time, she did it so amazingly. i don't know who wrote it, but I do know that "Though shadows may come and my cross gets heavy" Is the actual lyrics. Look toward Shamrock35772's youtube page (that's my dad) and I'll have him upload a recording of it for those of you looking for it.

The song you are looking for IS titled "JOY IN THE MORNING" and it is a totally different song with totally different writers from all the other songs mentioned with similar titles by Gaither, Harmon, and others in this feed. The one you are speaking of was originally recorded by southern gospel singing group THE HAPPY GOODMAN FAMILY in the 70's and it was written by AARON WILBURN who traveled with them at the time as part of their band. If you are familiar with the GAITHER HOMECOMING dvd's you will sometimes hear the song on there. These days Aaron is still writing, traveling and singing as a gospel soloist and is also one of the most sought after Christian comedians! He is also a GRAMMY AWARD winner! He too is often seen on the GAITHER HOMECOMING series of dvd's. I hope this helps you some!
And the guest who posted here on March 15 had the correct lyrics: ---- Joy In The Morning 1. Tears often fall, down my face in sorrow, As I walk on, thru the long, lonely night, And often I cry, yet it seems no one hears me, But then thru the shadows I can see, the dawning of light. |

I mostly got blessed by Nancy Harmon singing a version of Joy in the Morning on SBN at one of Jimmy Swaggart Thanksgiving Camp meeting. By devine arrangement, this song mostly comes on TV on early mornings and as I listen to it as I lie in bed ready to get up for the morning. My six year old boy has equally fallen in love with it and he will at times wake me that 'our' song is on TV. Such a annointed atmosphere it creates in me. |

I heard a song this morning on the radio. The DJ said the title was "He Gave Me Joy", however the artist keep singing, "I am so glad He gave me joy" after each stanza. It sounded like Albertina Walker or Dorothy Norwood, a very old song. Does this ring a bell for anyone? |

I need the words to the song, "Joy in the Morning" Martha Borg sings it. The chorus is "Soon this old night with all of its trials There'll be left behind there's a new day a dawning The shadows of sin will vanish forever. He promised me there's going to be joy in the morning!" |

Logan Smith, a southern gospel artist, sang "Joy in the Morning" on his album titled "Satisfied". (Released in 2010).

I have typed this as good as I can from memory...does anyone know who wrote this song or the rest of it?
Sometimes we all feel forsaken We cry oh lord, surely there's another way But pretty soon you'll feel the moving of your mountain God hears his children when they finally start to pray Hold on for there's joy in the morning Hold on there will be an end to your night Look straight ahead and you'll see victory He'll give you strength and you'll finish your fight |
