I am looking for the title and words to what I think is an old Negro spiritual. Part of the hymn goes, "I'm going there to meet my Savior; I'm going there no more to roam."

Hi Guest

The words are from the spiritual called "Wayfaring Stranger". You can do a Google search for those words to find different versions (there are many, each worded slightly differently).

Here's one version:

I'm just a poor wayfaring stranger
A travel'n through this world of woe.
But there's no sickness, no toil nor danger
In that bright world to which I go.

Refrain
I'm goin' there to see my father;
I'm goin' there no more to roam.
I'm just a-goin' over Jordan,
I'm just a-goin' over home.

I know dark clouds will gather 'round me,
I know my way is rough and steep;
But golden fields lay just before me,
Where God's redeemed no more shall weep.

Refrain
I'm goin' there to see my mother;
I'm goin' there no more to roam.
I'm just a-goin' over Jordan,
I'm just a-goin' over home.

I want to sing salvation's story,
In concert with the blood-washed band;
I want to wear a crown of glory,
When I get home to that good land.

Refrain
I’m goin' home to see my Savior;
Who shed for me His precious blood;
I’m just a-goin' o'er Jordan,
I’m just a-goin' o'er home.
I’m just a-goin' o'er home.
I'm goin' home.

Hi!  I am looking for an old song that is titled
"On the Other Side" . . . treasures there have I.
Can you help me?
Thanks!

Here's a version I found. Hope it's the one!

Treasures On the Other Side

1
A mansion and a shining crown are waiting there for me
My friends and my loved ones there with my own eyes I’ll see
Once that I’m safely helped across the swelling tide
That’s my treasures waiting on the other side

2
A pilgrim meet a stranger here who’s journeyed here before
Seen a side of heaven I’m so happy as I go
The world may think me poor and pass me by with scornful pride
They don’t know our treasures on the other side

Chorus
On the other side, treasures there have I
Treasures that this world and all its wealth could never buy
When I reach that city and the gates wing open wide
Find my treasures waiting on the other side

3
You’ll wonder why I’m happy in the things of which I’ve hold
Saying goodbye to this world and the things that charm me most
Had a vision of my Lord, who for me bled and died
And that’s my greatest treasure on the other side

Chorus

God bless!

I actually recorded this song as a duet with a Hammered Dulcimer and an acoustic guitar.  If you would like a copy you can post your email address here and I will send it to you.

Hi Guest and Guest,

Here are the lyrics to "Great Day":

Great day!
Great day, the righteous marching.
Great day.
God's going to build up Zion's walls,
Great day!
Great day, the righteous marching.
Great day.
God's going to build up Zion's walls.

Chariot rode on the mountain top
God's going to build up Zion's walls!
My God spoke and the chariot did stop,
God's going to build up Zion's walls!

Chorus

This is the day of jubilee,
God's going to build up Zion's walls!
The Lord has set His people free,
God's going to build up Zion's walls!

Chorus

We want no coward in our band,
God's going to build up Zion's walls!
We call for valiant hearted men,
God's going to build up Zion's walls!

Chorus

Going to take my breastplate, sword and shield,
God's going to build up Zion's walls!
And march out boldly in the field,
God's going to build up Zion's walls!

Chorus

Here are the lyrics to "All God's Children Got Wings".

I got wings, you got wings,
All of God's children got wings.
When I get to Heaven, gonna put on my wings
And gonna fly all over God's Heaven, Heaven, Heaven.
Every(body) talkin' 'bout Heaven ain't (a)goin' there;
Heaven, gonna fly all over God's Heaven.

I got shoes, you got shoes,
All of God's children got shoes.
When I get to Heaven, gonna put on my shoes
And gonna walk all over God's Heaven, Heaven, Heaven.
Every(body) talkin' 'bout Heaven ain't (a)goin' there;
Heaven, gonna walk all over God's Heaven.

I got a harp, you got a harp,
All of God's children got a harp.
When I get to Heaven, gonna put on my (a) harp
And gonna play all over God's Heaven, Heaven, Heaven.
Every(body) talkin' 'bout Heaven ain't (a)goin' there;
Heaven, gonna play all over God's Heaven.

I got a robe, you got a robe,
All of God's children got a robe.
When I get to Heaven, gonna put on my (a) robe
And gonna shout all over God's Heaven, Heaven, Heaven.
Every(body) talkin' 'bout Heaven ain't (a)goin' there;
Heaven, gonna shout all over God's Heaven.

As with all spirituals, there are various different versions out there, but these seems to be popular ones. Hope this helps.

God bless!

please i will be much delite if you can give me the lyrics and notes of the hymn " master the tempest is raging"
i hope to hear read from you
thank you.

Here are the lyrics, xtian:

1.
Master, the tempest is raging!
The billows are tossing high!
The sky is o’ershadowed with blackness,
No shelter or help is nigh;
Carest Thou not that we perish?
How canst Thou lie asleep,
When each moment so madly is threatening
A grave in the angry deep?

Chorus
The winds and the waves obey Thy will,
Peace, be still!
Whether the wrath of the storm tossed sea,
Or demons or men, or whatever it be
No waters can swallow the ship where lies
The Master of ocean, and earth, and skies;
They all shall sweetly obey Thy will,
Peace, be still! Peace, be still!
They all shall sweetly obey Thy will,
Peace, peace, be still!

2.
Master, with anguish of spirit
I bow in my grief today;
The depths of my sad heart are troubled
Oh, waken and save, I pray!
Torrents of sin and of anguish
Sweep o’er my sinking soul;
And I perish! I perish! dear Master
Oh, hasten, and take control.

Chorus

3.
Master, the terror is over,
The elements sweetly rest;
Earth’s sun in the calm lake is mirrored,
And heaven’s within my breast;
Linger, O blessèd Redeemer!
Leave me alone no more;
And with joy I shall make the blest harbor,
And rest on the blissful shore.

Chorus

God bless,
Steve
