Looking for lyrics to "Precious Memories"

Precious Memories
Unseen angels
sent from somewhere to my soul
How they linger
ever near me
and the sacred past unfolds

Precious Memories, how they linger
how they every flood my soul
In the stillness of the midnight
Precious sacred scenes unfold.

Precious mother, loving father
fly across the crowded years (?)
and old home scene of my child hood
in fond memory appear.

This may not be exact, I'm trying to do it from memory.  I hope this is enough for now.
God bless and keep singing praise to the King.

;Looking for lyrics to The Lighthouse  It has a part that says "If it wasn't for THE LIGHTHOUSE, where would this ship be?"  If you know of it could you email me at LMSPERL@AOL.com?  Thanks

I found your post on namethathymn.com. I've known the lyrics to this song for years, so here you go.

There's a lighthouse on the hillside
That overlooks the sea
When I'm tossed it sends out a light
That I might see
And the light that shines in darkness now
Will safely lead me o'er
If it wasn't for the lighthouse
My ship would be no more

(Narrative)
It seems that everybody about us says
Tear that old lighthouse down
The big ships just don't pass this way anymore
So there's no use in standing around
Then my mind goes back to that one dark, stormy night
When just in time, I saw the light
Yes, it was the light form that old lighthouse
That stands up there on the hill

And I thank God for the lighthouse
I owe my life to Him
Jesus is the Lighthouse
And from the rocks of sin
He has shown a light around me
That I might clearly see
If it wasn't for the lighthouse
Tell me where would this ship be?

I thank God for the lighthouse
I owe my life to Him
Jesus is the Lighthouse
And from the rocks of sin
He has shown a light around me
That I might clearly see
If it wasn't for the lighthouse
Tell me where would this ship be?

The Heritage Singers have a beautiful recording of this song at their website. Go to www.heritagesingers.com/Silver.html and scroll down to volume six for the album Jesus Is the Lighthouse (of course).

Precious Memories

Precious memories, unseen angels
Sent from somewhere to my soul
How they linger, ever near me
And the sacred scenes unfold.

Precious memories, how they linger
How they ever flood my soul
In the stillness of the midnight
Precious, sacred scenes unfold.

Precious father, loving mother
Fly across the lonely years
And old home scenes of my childhood
In fond memory appear.

In the stillness of the midnight
Echoes from the past I hear
Old-time singing, gladness bringing
From that lovely land somewhere.

I remember mother praying
Father, too, on bended knee
Sun is sinking, shadows falling
But their prayers still follow me.

As I travel on life's pathway
Know not what the years may hold
As I ponder, hope grows fonder
Precious memories flood my soul.

I am despartely trying to find the words to the old hymn time song entitled: Where Can I Go But To The Lord.   The begining words are ; LIVING BELOW IN THIS OLD SINFUL WORLD, HARDLY A COMFORT CAN AFFORD, NEEDING A FRIEND TO HELP ME IN THE END, WHERE CAN I GO BUT TO THE LORD. the chorus is: WHERE CAN I GO, OH WHERE CAN I Go,SEEKING A REFUGE FOR MY SOUL, NEEDING A FRIEND TO HELP ME IN THE END, WHERE CAN I GO BUT TO THE LORD. I pray someone can help me with the other words .I think Tennesee Earnie Ford sung one rendition of it back in the early 1950s.

WHERE COULD I GO
words & music by JB Coates
copyright 1940 Stamps-Baxter Music
(a division of Brentwood-Baxter Music Publishing,Inc)

Verse 1
Living below in this old sinful word,
Hardly a comfort can afford;
Striving alone to face temptations sore,
Where could I go but to the Lord?

Chorus
Where could I go, O where could I go,
Seeking a refuge for my soul?
Needing a friend to save me in the end,
Where could I go but to the Lord?

Verse 2
Neighbors are kind, I love them eve'ry one,
We get along in sweet accord;
But when my soul needs manna from above,
Where could I go but to the Lord?

Chorus

Verse 3
Life here is grand with friends I love so dear;
Comfort I get from God's own word;
Yet when I face the chilling hand of death,
Where could I go but to the Lord?

Chorus

I am looking for all the lyrics to the song similar to The Lighthouse. I got some of it. If anyone out there knows the rest, please post it. My Granny used to sing it.

There's a lighthouse on the hillside that overlooks the way, and if it wasn't for that lighthouse my ship would go astray. And I thank God for that Lighthouse; I owe my life to him. For if it wasn't for that lighthouse, where would this ship be?
I've been tossed on lifes sea and the waves, they conquer me. And those stormy clouds won't let the sun shine through. But He'll go with you all the way; through the night and through the day and you can lay down your heavy load when you get home.
One more valley one more fear. One more heartache, one more tear. One more journey down life's road. Only one more mile to go and I can lay down my leavy load when I get home.

If anyone knows this song, please email it to me at b-firefly@hotmail.com

Thanks

ONE MORE VALLEY

1; When I’m tossed on life’s sea, and the waves cover me.
And the dark clouds won’t let the sun shine through.
Then a voice seems to say, “child there’ll be a brighter day
Don’t allow the storms to hide sweet Heaven’s view”.

Chorus
Cause you’ve got one more valley, one more hill.
And you’ve got one more trial, one more tear.
One more curve in life’s road, maybe one more mile to go.
You can lay down your heavy load, when you get home.

2; Don’t let satan see your fears, learn to smile through your tears.
Hold your head up high, and give the world a smile.
Just be faithful all the way, it will be worth it all some day.
For it all will be over, after a while.

Chorus x 2

I am looking for a gospel song.  "There'll be a light at the river for me".

Chorus:
There'll be a light, a wonderful light for me, at the end of my journey I'll see,
There'll be a light, a wonderful light for me, there'll be a light at the river for me.

I'm looking for a gospel song.  "What more do you want Him to do."
Some more words:  Sinner man can't you see, Jesus loves you.  Jesus died on the Cross to save the lost, what more do you want Him to do.

I'm looking for this gospel song, one of my mom's favorites.  The artist was popular in the 1980s when this album came out.  I just can't think of the artist's(female)name, album, or song title.  Here are a few of the lyrics:

What can I do,
Lord, to be of service to you,
How can I be pleasing in your sight.
I'll give you everything I am,
I'll do everything I can,
to show the world I love you
with all my heart and mind.

What I am to some,
may not seem like much,
But, what I am truly becomes something great,
with just one touch of the Masters hand,
So hear I am,
Lord, I'm asking you.

What can I do,....

It’s Sunset And I’m Going Home

1.When shadows grow long in the evening
And birds wing their way back home
I get a heavenly feeling”
It’s sunset and I’m going home

Chorus
God paints the clouds in the evening sky
To show me the way to the palace on high
Stars mark the pathway, less my feet should roam
It’s sunset and I’m going home

2.The burdens I carried were heavy
I prayed in the garden alone
But there’ll be no crosses up yonder
It’s sunset and I’m going home

3.The harvest is over and gathered
The summer is ended and gone
The laborer longs for His coming
It’s sunset and I’m going home

Chorus x 2
