V1 Have faith in God when you pathway is lonely
He sees and knows all the way you have trod
Never alone are the least of His children
Have faith in God, have faith in God
Chorus:Have faith in God, Hes on His throne
Have faith in God, He watches oer his own
He cannont fail, He must prevail
Have faith in God, have faith in God

V2 Have faith in God when you pray'rs are unanswered
Your earnest plea He will never forget
Wait on the Lord, trust His Word and be patient
Have faith in God, He'll answer yet

V3 Have faith in God in your pain and your sorrow
His heart is touched with your grief and despair
Cast all your cares and your burdens upon Him
And leave them there, oh, leave them there

V4 Have faith in God tho' all else fail about you
Have faith in God He provides for His own
He cannot fail tho' all kingdoms shall perish
He rules He reigns upon His throne

Hope this is what you need...God Bless, Debbie

I love this hymn!  God has used it to get me through some tough times in my life!!

This hymn was just given to me in the spirit as I was going through a rough time.  I couldn't remember all the words to the chorus.  When I pulled this site up and saw the other verses, I knew God was trying to tell me to hang in there and that He is still there.  Thanks!

That was an easy search on the web for the words.  It has been going through my mind for days, but I was only remembering the first verserse and not the chorus. I quoted that first verse to someone recently that it seemed to fit. Thanks.

I'm walking thru a really difficult place and have been crying out to the Lord for direction.  I found myself singing this old hymn this morning and I felt the Lord was talking to me thru it.  I looked for the words in some of my hymn books and I couldn't find so I went to yahoo to find it.  God bless you for taking the time to put this on the web.  It was just what I needed!!

This beautiful hymn was sung this morning at the 9AM worship service of the First Baptist Churh Orlando, Florida.  It was sung as a reminder of God's everlasting care ...even in the times of this economic uncertainty and all the Wall St and bank failures. God is so much bigger than all of this but he knows our concerns. The pastor said the good news is that God is not worried - He has not even broken a sweat! Praise God for His loving care and His promises. Oh that all who seek Him will find Him. This is a beautiful hymn. Thanks for the sweet reminder by Dr David Uth.

I sang this as a child and it has remained in my memory, although over the years most of the words have faded off, yet the chorus is still clear. Thank you.  God bless.

Debbie
many thanks for finding time to post the lyrics of this song on the web. may the supreme God whose wisdom is unsearchable bless and uphold you with this song during your times of trial and tribulation which is the hallmark of the followers of christ. My late mum taught me this song when i was about 9 or 10 and i have searched for this song many times on the net especially during my dayz of tribulation. The lyrics are very spiritual, motivating and very uplifting. I have just finished singing it and i know that my mum knew some of the rough dayz ahead and had to teach me this hymn. God bless you all and as we sing this hymn, may the holy spirit comfort and energise us to VICTORY. Amen

Springs of Living Water ~~ Hymn ~John W. Peterson

I thirsted in the barren land of sin and shame, And nothing satisfying there I found; But to the blessed cross of Christ one day I came, Where springs of living water did abound.

How sweet the living water from the hills of God, It makes me glad and happy all the way; Now glory, grace and blessings mark the path I've trod, I'm shouting " Hal-le-lu-jah" every day.

O sinner, won't you come today to Cal-va-ry, A fountain there is flowing deep and wide; The Saviour now invites you to the water free, Where thirsting spirits can be satisfied.

Chrous:
Drinking at the springs of living water, Happy now am I, My soul they satisfy;
Drinking at the springs of living water, O wonderful and bountiful supply.

To the person looking for the lyrics of this song !! Enjoy

Debbie,
Thank you for posting Have Faith In God.  I woke early this morning with the chorus of this song going over and over in my mind. I could not remember the verses. I am in a long and weary trial but I know that God brought this song to mind to lift my spirit, renew my mind and help me to remember that God is faithful through all circumstances.  Now I have the verses too.  God bless you.

This is a favorite of mine from childhood, and understanding the hard times of which many of you speak of our only refuge is our LORD. Love to all

God bless the one who was inspired by the holy spirit to write this song

The hymn "Have Faith in God" was still published in the 1975 Baptist Hymnal, which a lot of Southern Baptist churches use, and some still do. It's spoken to me many times and reminds me our God and Father is in control. Glory to His Name!

Woke up this morning with the chorus of this song ringing in my spirit. It's been really rough with all the senseless killings perpetrated by some lunatics in my country. I can't understand why the Lord is not answering the prayers of His children concerning this matter. It has affected me so much. I guess He sent the song to reassure me that He's on the throne and that He cares.

B B McKinney was the writer and maybe the composer, too. He was used of the Lord to write a LOT of good songs, some we're still singing many years after his death. God bless all who put GOOD words to music, that we may glorify our Father in Heaven,
