Hi Guest,

Is this it?

Love Grew Where The Blood Fell

See my Jesus on the cross, the people crying.
Looking on the man and think; that's such a tragedy.
But what the world could not see,
Was when they nailed him to that tree;
He broke the chains of sin and set them free.

Love grew where the blood fell,
Flowers of hope sprang up for men in misery.
Sin died where the blood fell,
Oh I'm so glad his precious blood covers me.

Thorns of violence, thorns of hate were growing wildly.
All the pain that sin had cost,
You know it was so very plain to see.
But when the blood came streaming down the cross
Where my Savior bled and died.
It broke the chains of sin and set me free.

Love grew where the blood fell,
Flowers of hope sprang up for men in misery.
Sin died where the blood fell.
Oh I'm so glad his precious blood covers me.

Sin died where the blood fell.
Oh I'm so glad his precious blood covers me.

God bless,
Steve

The second verse goes like this:

Thorns of violence, thorns of hate were growing wildly.
All the pain that sin had cost,
You know it was so very plain to see.
But when the blood came streaming down the cross
Where my Savior bled and died.
It started blossoms of forgiveness growing free.

SECOND VERSE

Thorns of violence and hate were growing wildly,
and the sorrow they had caused was plain to see
But when the blood came streaming down that cross
where my Jesus bleed and died
It started blossoms of forgiveness flowing free.

I sing this with an old sound track that I have.

I believe this is how the second verse goes..

Thorns of violence, thorns of hate
were growing wildly
were condemned to sin and death
it was plain to see
but when the blood came streaming down that cross
where my Jesus bled and died
it started blossoms of forgiveness growing free

God Bless....doesnt that make more sense....John Stallings

here are the true lyrics

See my Jesus on the cross
...the people crying
looking on what men would think
...oh what a tragedy
but what the world could not see
was when they nailed Him to that tree
(IT) broke the chains of sin
and (IT) set men free

**the song is talking about the Blood**
therefore the blood is not  a person; it is an (IT)

Love grew where the blood fell
flowers of hope sprang up
for men in misery
sin died where the blood fell
oh I'm so glad
His precious blood covers me

Thorns of violence
thorns of hate
they were growing wildly
and all the pain that sin had caused
it was very plain to see
but when the blood came streaming
down the cross
where my savior bled and died
(IT) broke the chains of sin
and (IT) set men free

How about the lyrics to "bought by the blood" older gospel song, around the middle to late 80's.

I  have a song book with the words and music.
The correct version is"

LOVE GREW WHERE THE BLOOD FELL
By:  John Stallings

See my Jesus on the cross the people crying
Looking on a man would think it tragedy
But what the world could  not see
Was when they nailed Him to that tree
It would break the chains of sin's captivity.  (NOT set men free )

Thorns of violence and hate were growing wildly,
And the sorrow they had caused was plain to see
But when the blood came streaming down that cross
Where my Jesus bled and died
It started blossoms of forgiveness growing free!

Chours:
Love grew where the blood fell
Flow'rs of  hope sprang up for men in misery
Sin died where the blood fell
I'm so glad this precious blood has covered me.

Listen to the version sung by John Starnes. It can be found on amazon.com as mp3 download. By the by, "it" doesn't refer to an "it", when the song speaks of the Blood. That's the Blood shed at Calvary for our sins by Jesus Christ, not an "It".

There was a sheet music version in print several years ago -- possibly 4 pages. Does anyone have one they would like to sell? I would pay better than fair for it!
