Need lyrics for song You Can Have a Song in Your Heart in the Night.
I know next is:
After every mile, after every trial
Anyone can sing when the sun's shining bright
But you need a song in your heart at night

Hi Guest,

Here are the lyrics, words by E.L. Slavens and Ira Stanphill:

1.
You can have a melody down in your heart,
When it's aching, almost breaking.
Even tho' the sorrow makes the teardrop start,
You can have a melody down in your heart.

Chorus:
You can have a song in your heart in the night
After every trial, after every mile.
Anyone can sing when the sun is shining bright,
But you need a song in your heart at the night.

2.
Do not let your worries drive your song away,
Though tomorrow brings its sorrow,
Just remember after night time comes the day.
Do not let your worries drive your song away.

3.
Soon the night will pass and morning brings the day;
I am longing for its dawning,
until then we'll labor here and watch and pray,
Soon the night will pass and morning bring the day.

God bless!
Steve

Thank you God for saving my soul
Thank you God for making me whole
Thank you God for giving to me
Thy great salvation so rich and free

Steve,
I'm so grateful for your help.  My sister and I want to sing this duet at a women's meeting on Monday and couldn't find the words anywhere.  We know the tune.
Now we can sing -- praise the Lord!
God bless you!!

I need the words to a great old song that Henry & Hazel Slaughter sang:

"WE'VE COME THIS FAR BY FAITH"

Thank you )

Hi grammez,

Is this the song you are looking for?

We've come this far by faith
Leaning on the Lord
Trusting in His Holy Word
He's never failed me yet
Ooo-ooo-oooh
Can't turn around
We've come this far by faith

HI there! Yes, that is the song I'm looking for, but that's the chorus. I needed the whole thing. Henry and Hazel Slaughter used to sing it, and one of the verses contained the words, "..DON'T BE DISCOURAGED, WHEN TROUBLE COMES YOUR WAY..." something like that. I've heard other versions, but it's that one I'm looking for. Are you familiar with it?

"Just remember the good things,
He has done.
Things that seemed impossible
Oh praise Him for the victory He's won."

"Don't be discouraged,
By the troubles in your life,
He'll take your burdens,
And remove all discord and strife."

Verses to, "We've Come This Far By Faith"

It isn't "we can't turn around".

It is:  "we can't turn back".

:-) almost correct.

For, "We've Come This Far By Faith"

Well, I see that people are singing it "turn around", but back in the early 1960s, in Orange County, California, we sang it from sheet music for choirs as , "can't turn back", and I see now that it has been updated and is sung a different way.  I like both, the marching soldiers type beat and now the different way of singing it.

Thank you!  I heard Joe Malashenko, the singing evangelist, sing this song many years ago, but only memorized the first verse and chorus. Now, by God's grace, and with your. Help of posting the full lyrics, I can learn the entire song! May God continue to bless you, and make you a blessing! Phil 4:17 Ron Clark
