Hi. The lyrics to "Be Not Afraid" are requested quite often. You can find them here:

Be Not Afraid

Here's the text to "We Remember"

Refrain:
We remember how you loved us to Your death,
And still we celebrate for You are with us here.
And we believe that we will see You when you come in Your glory, Lord.
We remember, we celebrate, we believe!

1.
Here, a million wounded souls
Are yearning just to touch you and be healed;
Gather all your people, and hold them to your heart.

Refrain

2.
Now we recreate you love,
We bring the bread and wine to share a meal;
Sign of grace and mercy, the Presence of the Lord.

Refrain

3.
Christ, the Father’s great “Amen”
To all the hopes and dreams of every heart;
Peace beyond all telling, and freedom from all fear.

Refrain

4.
See the face of Christ revealed in every person standing by your side.
Gift to one another and temples of Your love.

God bless,
Steve

I love this beautiful song!  I cried as well this past Sunday and so did my son!  The lyrics are so beautiful and I think it also touched us because we thought of my Mom who we lost suddenly 6 months ago.

Dear Steve,
I am grateful to your cause.  What an unselfish and beautiful one at that....helping those that have been touched.
I attended RC service Ash Wednesday....after such a long time away.  Such a wondrous time to experience our Penance and reacquaint ourself with Jesus, God & the Holy Spirit..  Yes...and I too was brought to tears by this song #730 in the misselette.  I thought the 7 was a 1 and started singing another..lol.
Thank you for helping me experience this most ethereal & moving melody.

I always cry when I sing "We remember."  It is amazing how many people are touched by that song.  I recall standing next to another parishner who was wiping away tears after singing the song too.

Hey just getting in on this GREAT webpage!!  I just found this tonight and it has already been a blessing!!

I wanted to say, there is another song, "Be Not Afraid" and I haven't found this one on this blog, so wanted to pass it on.  It has been done by a group called Tradition.

Tossed to and fro the disciples were fearing,
For their very lives, they were lost out at sea
High winds were raging, waves warred around them
Then a voice speaks, "Fear not, be at ease"
(chorus)
Be not afraid, it's only the master
Calming the storm, removing all harm
Be of good cheer your Savior is here now
Be of good faith, for i'm here to stay,
Be not afraid!

He came to them walking on water and talking
Though they had known him, yet they were afraid
Jesus spoke gently, "Lo I am with thee"

If this is on here somewhere.. or if I missed any of the wording, then I apologize!  But I think this one is too wonderful to keep to myself!

God Bless!!!!
He ceased the winds and settled the waves
(chorus again)
