I am looking for the words to running my last mile home. Starts out: I've been a soldier in God's mighty army since many long years ago.....the chorus goes
oh yes I feel like running my last mile home I see a great band of angels to carry me home...

Can anyone help me with this song?

I'm actually looking for the words also.  I know you can go to the singing cookes website and click on there multi-media link, scroll down to "I feel like running" and you can actually hear the 1st verse and chorus.  Sorry I can't help with the second verse.

I've Been a soldier in God's mighty army since many long years ago.  And I've been scarred and wounded in battle and many times I've brought low.  But By the signs of the times I just realized I've only one more mile to go, is that the lights of Heaven up above I feel like running my last mile home.

Yes, I feel like running my last mile home, I see a great band of angels around God's throne oh what a great celebration while ages roll on I feel like running my last mile home.

Well Jesus said when he reached down and saved me, I'll go with you all the way, well its been many years, but I can still feel his spirit burning in my soul and it gives me a taste of what lies ahead I feel like running my last mile home.

Yes, I feel like running my last mile home, I see a great band of angels around God's throne oh what a great celebration while ages roll on I feel like running my last mile home.
