Do you Care

Do you know that Jesus loves you, Do you care?
Do you know He died to save you, Do you care?
Son of God and King is He, yet He died upon a tree.
Do you love Him?  Does it matter?  Do you care?

Do you care?  Do you care?
Can the Christ-life be a part of you to share?
In the trials day by day, can you follow in His way?
Do you love Him?  Do you love Him?  Do you care?

If His tender heart was broken, would you care?
Priceless gift of God is spoken, Do you care?
On the cross was crucified, for our sins He bled and died,
Can you see Him, does it matter, Do you care?

Do you care?  Do you care?
Can the Christ-life be a part of you to share?
In the trials day by day, can you follow in His way?
Do you love Him?  Do you love Him?  Do you care?

As sung by Alan McGill, Be Still My Heart,

This song was written by Maxine Lucht.  Additional words were found at http://www.sacred-music.org/play.php  under Charles Turner.

Do you know that souls are dying, Do you care?
Children lost and voices crying, Do you care?
Can you say with God’s dear Son, not my will but Thine be done,
Can you hear Him, hear Him calling, Do you care?

Maxine Lucht was my Grandmother and is the author of this song and many others.  I have all of her hand penned hymns, about two notebooks full.  I am David Lucht.

I remember a radio evangelist who used this song for the opening of the program back in the 1960s, I'm trying to remember who he was...

I remember that a radio evangelist and his wife used this song for the opening of their broadcast back in the 1960s. The radio station was KBLE 1050 out of Seattle. They came on at 12:30 pm. I cannot remember who they were though.
