HELLO SHERRY. IT COULD BE- CHORUS: COUNT YOUR BLESSINGS, NAME THEM ONE BY ONE;  COUNT YOUR BLESSINGS,SEE WHAT GOD HATH DONE; COUNT YOUR BLESSINGS, NAME THEM ONE BY ONE; COUNT YOUR MANY BLESSINGS, SEE WHAT GOD HATH DONE.    THERE ARE 4 VERSES. THE FIRST VERSE STARTS-WHEN UPON LIFE'S BILLOWS YOU ARE TEMPEST TOSSED, WHEN YOU ARE DISCOURAGED, THINKING ALL IS LOST..... BARRY.

Hi Sherry,

Here are the complete lyrics to "Count Your Blessings"

1.
When upon life's billows you are tempest tossed,
When you are discouraged, thinking all is lost,
Count your many blessings, name them one by one,
And it will surprise you what the Lord hath done.

Refrain
Count your blessings, name them one by one,
Count your blessings, see what God hath done!
Count your blessings, name them one by one,
And it will surprise you what the Lord hath done.

2.
Are you ever burdened with a load of care?
Does the cross seem heavy you are called to bear?
Count your many blessings, every doubt will fly,
And you will keep singing as the days go by.

Refrain

3.
When you look at others with their lands and gold,
Think that Christ has promised you His wealth untold;
Count your many blessings. Wealth can never buy
Your reward in heaven, nor your home on high.

Refrain

4.
So, amid the conflict whether great or small,
Do not be disheartened, God is over all;
Count your many blessings, angels will attend,
Help and comfort give you to your journey's end.

Refrain

My best to your friend at this difficult time.

God bless,
Steve

"Count your blessings" is in the hymnbook of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (Mormons).  Go to any Mormon church and you will find the hymnbook.  It has the music and words.

Here are the lyrics:

1.
The birds up in the air know their Creator
Nature sings an awesome song of praise
Even the heavens declare his glory
So I will stand before you and proclaim

Refrain
I know him, I know him
I met him at the foot of Calvary
I know him, yes I know him
But best of all he knows me

2.
He's moving in this place right now I feel him
I do believe he's standing in the aisle
With outstretched arms he beckons to the weary
Come, I will give you rest my child

3.
I've rested in his arms a million times or more
And every time he's held me tenderly
So I will stand and say to you that I know him
Will you stand with me and agree

God bless!

Hi Shonda!

The lyrics you're looking for are of the song, "I Am Persuaded" by Thomas Whitfield.  They are:

Precious Jesus, now I love you
How I lift high my voice with your praise
Holy Spirit, I implore Thee
Drench my heart as my lips part your praise

Chorus-
I am persuaded, Lord, to love You
I have been changed to bless Your name
I am constrained by this great gospel
Forever to worship Thee

That's it.  I'll be glad to send you the song if you'd like.  Email me at truesongstress@hotmail.com or IM me at:

The lyrics to "Standing in the Need of a Blessing" are as follows:

Chorus:  You said I could call You when I need you.
you said you would answer, when I call you
You said you would provide all my needs according to your riches in glory.

Lord, I'm standing in the need
Yes, I'm standing in the need
Lord, I'm standing in the need of a blessing
(Repeat chorus with the lead)

Verse:  Father, I stretch my hands to thee
No other help I know
Lord, I'm standing in the need
Yes, I'm standing in the need
Lord, I'm standing, I'm standing in the need
of a blessing

(Go back to chorus and repeat verse)

Vamp: Standing in the need of a blessing
Lead: Ad libbing on the vamp

End:  Lord, I'm standing in the need
Yes, I'm standing in the need
Lord, I'm standing in the need
of a blessing!

Here are lyrics to "Take up Thy Cross and Follow Me":

1.
I walked one day along a country road,
And there a stranger journeyed, too,
Bent low beneath the burden of His load:
It was a cross, a cross I knew.

Chorus
“Take up thy cross and follow Me,”
I hear the blessed Savior call;
How can I make a lesser sacrifice,
When Jesus gave His all?

2.
I cried, “Lord Jesus,” and He spoke my name;
I saw His hands all bruised and torn;
I stooped to kiss away the marks of shame,
The shame for me that He had borne.

3.
“Oh, let me bear Thy cross, dear Lord,” I cried,
And, lo, a cross for me appeared,
The one, forgotten, I had cast aside,
The one, so long, that I had feared.

4.
My cross I’ll carry till the crown appears—
The way I journey soon will end—
Where God Himself shall wipe away all tears,
And friend hold fellowship with friend.

God bless,
Steve
