The Blood by The McKameys

There's an alter of stone for sins to atone
once a year to pardon men free
slay a lamb pure and white make a blood sacrifice
was the way that it used to be
but the prophets of old the story fortold
of a Savior who set men free
He would give His own life for the blood sacrifice
that would last for eternity
God gave His own Son our sins to atone
that supreme sacrifice was made
Jesus hung on the Cross shed His blood for the lost

This is all I could find to transcribe from the Internet

Here's the entire song (I have the cassette, too, WITHOUT the words!
THE BLOOD
Verse 1
Build an altar of stone for sins to atone, once a year to pardon and free.
Slay a lamb pure and white, make a blood sacrifice
Was the way that it used to be.
Chorus 1
But the prophets of old the story foretold of a Savior Who’d set men free
He would give His own life for the blood sacrifice that would last for eternity.
Verse 2
God gave His own Son, our sins to atone; that supreme sacrifice was made.
Jesus hung on the cross; shed His blood for the lost
The price for redemption was paid.
Chorus 2
But on that third day He rose from the grave; ascended in victory.
On the altar of God He placed His own blood; the blood that makes men free.

He would give His own life for the blood sacrifice, that would last for eternity.
On the altar of God He placed His own blood; the blood that makes men free.
