I am looking for the lyrics to this song. All I know is the Chorus:

Ive come to far to look back
my feet have walked through the valley
Ive climbed mountains crossed rivers.
and desert places Ive known
Now Im nearing the home shore.......

If someone knows this song please help!

Hi MikeyLikesIt,

Here's what I dug up

1.
I've come too far to look back again
There is nothing behind me
All the treasures I used to love
Have all faded from view
There's a new day ahead for me
All my heartache is over
For I left it at Calvary
Where my new life began

Chorus
I've come too far to look back
My feet have walked through the valley
I've climbed mountains, crossed rivers
Dessert places I've known
But I'm nearing the home shore
The redeemed are rejoicing
Heaven's angels are singing
I've gone too far to look back

2.
Look around, there's no happiness
There's no reason for living
Life will give you a broken dream
Full of sorrow and fear
Turn around, don't look back again
Face the new day before you
Place your heartache in Jesus' hand
He can mend broken dreams

Chorus

I believe Connie Hopper (The Hoppers) wrote this song. I remember it when i was little. Seems like God just brought it back to my attention after all these years. A big Thank You to the one who put the words on this site. I've been wanting to sing it and could not remember all the words.

God Bless!

Could this be the one you are looking for by Dottie Rambo,,,Too Much To Gain To Lose?
TOO MANY MILES BEHIND ME
TOO MANY TRAILS ARE THROUGH
TOO MANY TEARS HELP ME REMEMBER
THERE'S TO MUCH TO GAIN TO LOSE.

CHORUS
TOO MANY SUNSETS LIE BEHIND THE MOUNTAIN
TOO MANY RIVERS MY FEET HAVE WALKED THROUGH
TOO MANY TREASURES ARE WAITING OVER YONDER
THERE'S TOO MUCH TO GAIN TO LOSE.

2 I'VE CROSSED THE HOT BURNING DESSERT
I WAS STRUGGLING THE RIGHT ROAD TO CHOOSE
BUT SOMEWHERE UP AHEAD THERE'S COOL CLEAR WATER
AND DEFEAT IS ONE WORD I'LL NEVER USE.

CHORUS
TOO MANY SUNSETS LIE BEHIND THE MOUNTAIN
TOO MANY RIVERS MY FEET HAVE WALKED THROUGH
TOO MANY TREASURES ARE WAITING OVER YONDER
THERE'S TOO MUCH TO GAIN TO LOSE.

TAG
OH, TOO MANY TREASURES ARE WAITING OVER YONDER
THERE'S TOO MUCH TO GAIN TO LOSE!

too many miles behind me
too many trials are thru
too many tears help me to remember
there's just too much to gain to lose

too many sunsets lie behind the mountains
too many rivers my feet have walked through
too many treasures are waiting over yonder
and there's too much to gain to lose

i've crossed a hot burning desert
struggling the right road to choose
but somewhere up ahead there's cool clear water
and there's too much to gain to lose

I Wanna Go

Its been years ago since I first heard it told
that he's coming back to take his children home
though the story's old, the half has not been told
I wanna go

They say there's mansions there far beyond compare
they talk of streets of gold, where we'll never grow old
there our loved ones wait just inside the gate
I wanna go

I wanna go where no storm clouds ever rise
I wanna go where the flowers never die
Dont you wanna go where we'll never say goodbye
There'll be no lonliness no more tears to dim the eye

The crystal river flows from the great white throne
children laugh and sing, joyful praises ring
oh it won't be long we'll all be going home
I wanna go

I wanna be there when that final roll is called
I wanna see the saints of old enjoy the ransomed throne
but most of all there's just one i long to see
his name is Jesus, and he gave his life for me

The sun wont need to shine, lamb of god will be the light
King of Kings will ring throughout eternity
we'll see him on his throne, hear his welcome home
i wanna go
i wanna go

hope that was the one you were looking for!

The guest who looked for Jesus and Me, I wonder if this old song could be what you are looking for:

Verse 1
I traveled alone along life's lonesome road
My burden was heavy and great was my load
I looked for a friend, not knowing that He
Had all of this time been looking for me.

Chorus:
And now it's Jesus and Me for each tomorrow
For every heartache, and every sorrow
I know that I can depend upon my new-found Friend
And so till the end, it's Jesus and me.

Verse 2:
The road may be long to heaven's pearly gate
I know that it's narrow, I know that it's straight.
But Jesus is there, through eternity,
We'll travel along just Jesus and me.
