I can't find this song in my hymn books. Used to sing it years ago.

complete chorus as I remember it is:

I believe Jesus saves
I believe a crown of life awaits beyond the grave
I believe the path the saints have trod
(that a) prayer can touch the heart of God
I believe the old time way,
I believe Jesus

I heard it sung by a group called "the believers"
there is a mp3 downloadable version of their recording available at www.bridemusic.org, under "music" click "the believers" then click the "joy in the morning" album to find the song "I believe Jesus saves" song to listen or download.

In this age of confusion
There’s dissolution every where
It’s hard to find true peace of mind
Or someone who really cares

I have put my trust in Jesus
He’s like no other man I know
His word is true
He will see me through
I believe Jesus

I believe, Jesus saves
I believe a crown of life awaits beyond the grave
I believe the path the saints have trod
That a prayer can touch the heart of God
I believe the old time ways
I believe Jesus

Though this world has refused Him
Though we abuse Him, He still lives
His grief and pain were for our gain
So that our Lord might freely give

Faith to overcome each trial
The grace to live in victory
His nail scared hands wrote salvation’s plan
I believe Jesus

I believe, Jesus saves
I believe a crown of life awaits beyond the grave
I believe the path the saints have trod
That a prayer can touch the heart of God
I believe the old time ways
I believe Jesus

I am thrilled that someone posted the words to this song. As a little girl, our church sang this song and my mother was song leader. She passed away when I was 9 and all I could remember was the first verse and the chorus. Thanks so much. It was a blessing!!!

I am responding to this as I heard this song for the first time. I am so thankful for the words, but I have no music and I heard on 365 Live on my computer... Any idea where I could find music for this song? Maybe in a hymnal?

Unfortunately, I have not found this song in any Hymnal.  This song was recorded by "The Blair Sisters" on their album "Plenty of Room in the Family" years ago.  Also known as "Christian Island".  They were members of Midway Baptist Church in National City, California.  Glenda Stuart and Barbara Garrison are the "Blair Sisters".  Hope this gives you more information.
